The Altar Society of Immaculate Conception Church is a time-honored tradition in our parish.
The Altar Society makes sure the altars are cleaned and dusted, replace flowers, dust pews, windowsills, and stations, clean the sacristy and vestibule, replace votive candles and refill holy water fonts. The Altar Society’s aim is to give the church a fresh look for the weekend masses.
The members of the Altar Society have found this to be a wonderful ministry of service and an opportunity to meet fellow parishioners who attend different masses.
Four teams take turns serving in the Main Church and a fifth team serves in the Historic Chapel. Others serve in different areas (preparations for weddings, funerals, and adoration) as needed.
